Fire Alarm System Case Study - FireClass FC501 Fire Alarm Control Panel chosen to control Fire Alarm System for Security Deposit Box Facility in Ireland

Guardian Fire and Security recently were asked to commission a fire alarm system in conjunction with a local security installer for a new fire alarm system for a new Safety Deposit Box facility. The FireClass FC501 addressable fire alarm panel was chosen as the control panel for the fire alarm system. This enabled the security installer to provide a full turnkey solution for their customer and select an addressable fire alarm sytem which was perfect for their customers needs.
Based in Dublin, the commissioning of the fire alarm system for the new Safety Deposit Box facility had a number of sensitive requirements which had to be taken into consideration by both the security installer and Guardian Fire and Security.
The technical considerations for the fire alarm system required that it interfaced with the existing building fire alarm system as well as the intruder alarm and access control.
Guardian Fire and Security were looking for an addressable fire alarm system which offered complete fire protection for the Safety Deposit Box facility.  The addressable fire alarm system also needed to feature a number of compatible fire safety field devices which are easy to install and a fire alarm control panel that allowed for an easy programming of the system.
Guardian Fire and Security had previous experience working with the FireClass Lite, FC32 and FC64 2 zone addressable fire control panels and as a result selected the FC501 addressable fire alarm control panel from the range of fire detection and fire suppression solutions that FireClass are able to offer the fire and security industry.
The field devices used on the fire alarm system included the Ionisation Smoke Alarm and Optical Fire Detector, the addressable detector for heat, a number of manual break glass call points as well as the addressable module FireClass FC410SIO which is a Single Input Output Addressable Loop Module and is designed to provide a monitored open collector input and a volt free relay changeover output.  The FireClass FC410RIM relay interface was also used which is an addressable loop module which provides one volt free relay changeover contact on a latching relay.
Brendan from Guardian Fire & Security remarked “The security installer commented on the looks and ease of installation of the fire alarm system and addressable control panel praising it highly and the commissioning engineer found the fire system and control panel extremely easy to commission and program,  all in all the feedback was as positive as you can get!”
